Here’s my new submission for infectious.com. Its the sexy seduction of a sweet angel by a sultry demon… say that ten times fast. No dont really. I had a lot of program jumping on this one. Starting with flash and jumping over to photoshop for shading. I liek the effect of the classical painting and vector mix… I may have to delve more into this look.

Ok Last dunny for a little bit… have some traveling to do and bills to pay unfortunately. This one was inspired by my little hell cat, Dante. I know corny and lame… but hes been staring at me alot while im working. I imagined him as an idol with a stomach of delicious kitty treats/ sacrifices.  Had a lot of fun with it and really excited to try and get these made into the real deal. Once again, 3ds max and flash were used to create this fully digital dunny… still working out how to bring them to life as real dunnys!

I haven’t really had a lot to do on the weekends while I’ve been in Jersey so artsy stuff is getting done at record pace for me. Not a complaint lol. Anyway this is my bride dunny concept. Another one of my obsessions is the bride of frankenstein… i love me some crazy goth girls haha. Again this is all done in 3ds max and illustrator.. I’ve been researching decaling dunnys and have a strategy… We’ll see how it turns out.

Here’s a new dunny concept I came up with this morning. He’s somewhat based on the really cheesy early 90’s horror movie highway to hell It’s one of those movies you watch out of nostalgiac or comedic value. In the film there’s a character named hell cop who was the inspiration behind the piece. hehe its hilarious. Thanks to toykult for providing a dunny model i could customize.

Here’s the witch doktor character from my voodoo monkey stories. Her intentions are always rather ambigous. You never know if shes on your side or plotting your demise but she’s always got her spoon in the couldron. I have some other sketches of her evolving but this is the oneI’ve liked the best so far. It’s kind of rough in the pencils but i dont have easy access to a scanner right now so i had to take what i could get. It really doesn’t bother me to much to…kind of adds to the grittiness of the piece.

Started off as a sketch of a fiery badass chica… I Kind of Feel it’s a nod to all the rock-a-billy mexican girls I see in Austin. The few I know personally are probably as intimidating if not more so than this haha. I’ve been playing with theidea of hammerheads as a design element for quite some time  but i think this is the first illustration piece ive used them in. I don’t know why i like them so much but I’m strangely drawn to the unique shape. Anyway I’m diggin this one.. keep switching styles but I cant seem to help myself.

Decided to flesh out some random sketches from the trip. I’m kind of diggin the new style im honing in on… I think some painting and alot more of these sketch pages will come from this.

First concept for an original vinyl figure. I’ve been delving into a completely new style lately and I’m pretty excited about it. I’ve got a bunch of ideas for vinyl and paintings right now. It feels good to be inspired again. The skull bunny was just a quick doodle which evolved into the illustration. Thenn I figured he’d make a good simple figure. So I modeled him up in 3ds max and may look around and see if I can get him turned into the real deal.

This is a piece that started out as a doodle. I was thinking of all the madness that is Japan and how much I love it. This is a combination of all the crazy anime, sci-fi and horror stuff i see coming from over there. Eventually It turned into my idea of a postcard from Tokyo.

My custom Munny from the Domy / Kidrobot mini Munny mobile decorating party. Turned out great for a little three hour Sunday project. Voodoo Monkey in all his glory:)
