New poster design Idea. Trying to get into silk screening and working with minimal colors. I’ve been reading up a lot on the silk screen movement that started in Austin in the early 90′s with mr. Frank Kozik. I’d love to be able to follow in his footsteps. Also considering trying to do a kick starter or something to get some of these printed up by pro screen printers. Always planning…. planning, planning.

Skelladillo
New Skelladillo print for future shoppe. I think it’ll be a perfect “Keep Austin Weird” type of thing. I was pretty inspired by my dads old rock posters which often featured armadillos as the Austin Mascot. Thanks Dad!
GSRBB: La Prima pinup
Here is La prima, the sexy afro queen from god save the red black adn blonde. The concept was to feature her much like the 70′s blaxploitation style pinups. I think i found a happy mix between the modern look and that. it does look a little darker than it did in the orignal file maybe its a conversion thing. Should be good for print though.

The next Tshirt design for the donut store. Making moves. I saw this pic of an old monkey and I’ve been wanting to do a shriner monkey drawing anyway so here ya go.

Battle above flavor city
Here is my submission for the Jarritos flavor city contest. I had fun doing the piece although it was a bit rushed. I found out about the project 2 days ago. I was trying to conserve Jarritos super colorful aesthetic but give it the feel of a kaiju battle between fruit. Also that’s me in the corner I dont know how i feel about the piece on the whole… its just pretty different than my usual stuff.
*didn’t win but the winners they picked are pretty awful…so bittersweet i guess. On to the next thing.

Evil Doily
Was thinking it would be funny to give these away at cons when people ask for sketches. I like the idea of amassing all these evil little drawings on flowery pretty canvases. Probably an idea ill expand on once I can man up and by more doily’s.
